A single-engine aircraft crashed into a mountain slope near Trebinje while performing a delivery flight from Poland to Tunisia.

What happened

During a scheduled delivery mission traveling from Poland toward Tunisia, a single-engine airplane impacted the side of Mt Bjelanisca. The accident occurred in an area approximately 20 km northwest of Trebinje. At the time of the impact, the aircraft was operating within difficult weather conditions characterized by low cloud ceilings.

The wreckage of the aircraft was subsequently located roughly 25 meters below the 1,370-meter summit of the mountain. The crash resulted in three fatalities, as all occupants on board were killed in the event.
