History of the Flight
On 2 March 2022, Serene Air flight ER 522, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft registered AP-BNB, was operating a scheduled passenger flight from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi, to Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP), Lahore. The aircraft departed JIAP at 06:21:00 UTC and landed at AIIAP at 07:36:00 UTC. During the take-off roll, the flight crew heard a light noise during nose rotation, which they suspected might be a bird strike. All engine indications and flight control responses remained normal, so the take-off was continued. After landing at Lahore, the crew reported the observation to maintenance personnel.
Damage to Aircraft
A post-flight inspection revealed that the tail skid cover had scratched the ground, with the green cartridge fully visible. No other damage to the aircraft was observed. The aircraft was released for flying without any maintenance.
Injuries to Persons
No injuries were reported among crew or passengers.

No significant weather was reported at JIAP, Karachi, or AIIAP, Lahore at the time of the incident.
Flight Recorder Data
Analysis of the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) data for the take-off showed that the aircraft pitch angle just prior to the main landing gears lifting off was 9 degrees, and at the moment of lift-off it was 9.5 degrees.
