While on a solo training sortie, the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after the right engine caught fire in flight. The airplane crashed east of North Berwick and was destroyed. The pilot was killed. Crew: F/O Charles Phillip Meredith, pilot. Probable cause (official findings): Engine fire in flight.
