Air France to restart Paris–Manila route in October

Air France will restart nonstop flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Ninoy Aquino International Airport on October 19, 2026, Manila's airport operator announced on September 29, 2026. The route had been suspended for several months on a seasonal basis.

The service will operate three times a week with an Airbus A350-900, connecting Terminal 3 at the Philippine airport with the French capital. Before the suspension, Air France also flew the sector three times a week, with a scheduled block time of roughly 14 hours.

The restart restores a direct air connection between France and the Philippines. No other carrier flies the sector nonstop, and it gives travellers from Manila another way to reach Europe without changing aircraft as the year-end holiday period approaches.

Air France said in December 2025 that it would halt the service for the European summer. The decision drew attention because it came a little over a year after the carrier re-entered the Philippine market.

The airline first announced plans to return to Manila in September 2024, scheduling a three-times-weekly operation between the two capitals. That was its first direct service to the country in two decades, and the sector was the first direct connection between Europe and the Philippines restored after the pandemic disrupted long-haul travel.

Air France dropped its Paris-Manila flights in 2004 after merging with KLM. After the merger it kept a presence in the Philippines through a codeshare arrangement with KLM, which continued flying to Manila.

The aircraft assigned to the route has 34 business class seats, 24 in premium economy and 266 in economy.
