Air Kerala in talks for up to 20 Ilyushin Il-114-300 aircraft

Air Kerala, an Indian carrier that has not yet started flying, could get up to 20 Ilyushin Il-114-300 aircraft under aviation cooperation between India and Russia, according to a report on the discussions.
Talks cover possible agreements for 105 regional turboprops in total. Air Kerala, Pinnacle Air and Sleek Aviation are named as the parties involved. No firm orders have been placed.
Air Kerala is still waiting for approval to begin operations. It had planned to launch with three ATR 72-600 aircraft, but securing aircraft proved a hurdle to obtaining the required operating licence.
India and Russia are also holding talks about producing Russian passenger aircraft in India.
