Airbus wins 25-year French military cybersecurity contract
France's DGA has awarded Airbus a 25-year contract, through its Airbus Cybersecurity subsidiary, to supply cybersecurity gateways for the defence ministry's networks.
Airbus announced on Wednesday, 23 September that the DGA, France's defence procurement agency, has awarded it a 25-year contract for cybersecurity gateways. Airbus Cybersecurity, a subsidiary, will carry out the work.
The gateways are meant for the networks of the French defence ministry and its directorates and departments. They move data securely and under control between networks and information systems holding different levels of classification.
Development, production and long-term maintenance of the systems fall under the contract.
Airbus says the gateways can go in data centres and at command posts. They are also planned for tactical environments: ships, submarines, aircraft, helicopters, drones, and armoured and other land vehicles.
The company did not give a contract value.
