Anduril and Hermeus partner on AI software for Air Force drone fleet
Anduril Industries announced a collaboration with Hermeus to develop artificial intelligence software for the US Air Force's Collaborative Combat Aircraft fleet, alongside work on the reusable Quarterhorse Mk 2 aircraft.
Anduril Industries said on September 3 that it is partnering with Hermeus, a hypersonic aircraft startup. The two companies will work on artificial intelligence software intended to power the US Air Force's future fleet of Collaborative Combat Aircraft.
Their joint work will center on the Quarterhorse Mk 2, a reusable uncrewed aircraft designed to reach Mach 5. Supersonic test flights are planned for 2027, according to Air and Space Forces Magazine.
