Avianca raises Bogotá–Córdoba service to daily, adds Economy cabin changes

Avianca has raised its Bogotá-Córdoba route to daily service, up from three weekly frequencies to seven. The flights use Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats, according to the carrier.

The extra capacity provides more than 2,500 seats a week on the route, Avianca said. Traffic connects through its hub at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá.

Flight AV138 leaves Córdoba at 07:25 and arrives in Bogotá at 11:25. Flight AV139 departs Bogotá at 22:15 and lands in Córdoba at 06:20 the next day. Both operate daily.

David Alemán, Avianca's sales director for Colombia and South America, said the increase reflects the route's importance to the airline and to customer connectivity, and described Colombia's role as a hub with more than 80 destinations across Colombia, the Americas and Europe. He said the daily schedule gives passengers in both countries more options and flexibility and supports commercial, tourism, cultural and business exchange.

The airline also presented updates to its onboard offering during the FIT tourism fair. It said it has improved the services included in its Economy cabin and set out the planned direction for its premium cabin product. The source did not detail the specific changes to either cabin.
