Avianca has announced a refresh of its long-haul business class, branded INSIGNIA. The update is coming to the carrier's Boeing 787-8 fleet and covers a new seat, changes to the inflight soft product, and updates on the ground.

The centerpiece is the Collins Aerospace Super Diamond seat, which offers a fully flat bed and sliding privacy doors. Photos of the new cabin show a raised rim around the top of the seats intended to increase privacy.

Avianca will also install the Panasonic Avionics Astrova in-flight entertainment system, with the latest generation of seatback screens, and will offer noise-cancelling headphones. The new product will be available on Boeing 787 routes to Europe and New York.

Adrián Neuhauser, CEO of Abra Group, said the INSIGNIA experience aims to exceed customer expectations on every flight and in every detail.
