Rolls-Royce to invest £300m in UK manufacturing and engineering sites
Rolls-Royce is investing £300 million in its British manufacturing and development sites, with more than £140 million of that going to Derby, the centre of its civil engine business.
Rolls-Royce will spend 300 million pounds, about 350 million euros, on its manufacturing and development sites in the United Kingdom. According to the company, the money is meant to create capacity for future programmes in civil aviation and defence.
The Derby site, home to the company's civil engine business, gets more than 140 million pounds, roughly 163 million euros. That covers new engineering and manufacturing facilities and an expansion of the maintenance operation.
The work is due to be completed in 2028.
