Samson Sky secures $80m investment for flying car production
Samson Sky has raised an $80 million investment from Dubai-based Matin Group to build a production site for its Switchblade flying car, though a further $20 million is still needed to fund production fully.

Samson Sky has secured an investment of 80 million US dollars, about 69 million euros, from the Dubai-based Matin Group. The money is intended for the construction of a production facility of roughly 16,700 square metres for the Switchblade flying car.
According to Samson Sky chief Sam Bousfield, a further 20 million US dollars, around 17 million euros, is still needed to finance production in full.
The Switchblade is a two-seat hybrid vehicle that can both drive on the road and fly. Switching from road to flight mode is designed to take place within three minutes. The aircraft made its official first flight in November 2023. It is offered in the United States as an experimental aircraft, with the owner required to build 51 percent of it themselves.
