Thales opens flight safety training centre in Bordeaux

Thales opened a Flight Safety Center at its Bordeaux campus. The French technology group said the facility will train employees, customers, suppliers and authorities in civil and military flight safety.

Training combines interactive applications, technology demonstrations and experience from flight operations, according to the company. Courses span the life cycle of an aviation system: development, certification, operation and maintenance. Thales plans to bring the concept to other sites, and eventually wants all 21,000 of its civil and military aviation employees to receive the training.
