In recommendation A-11-090, identified under NTSB number DCA10RA092, the National Transportation Safety Board has issued a directive to the Federal Aviation Administration. The board is urging the agency to implement new requirements for operators conducting flights under 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 121, Part 135, and Part 91 subpart K. Specifically, the recommendation mandates that these operators must educate their flight crews about the critical importance of stowing their oxygen masks when they are set to 100 percent. This measure aims to ensure that crew members understand proper procedures for handling emergency oxygen equipment during flight operations.
