In recommendation A-14-039, designated under NTSB number DCA13MA120, the National Transportation Safety Board addressed a directive to the Federal Aviation Administration. The board stated that the agency must require Boeing to revise its 777 Flight Crew Training Manual stall protection demonstration. This revision is intended to include an explanation and demonstration of the specific circumstances in which the autothrottle does not provide low speed protection for flight crews.
