The National Transportation Safety Board directs the Federal Aviation Administration to develop procedures for conveying airplane-based braking ability results to relevant safety personnel if technically and operationally feasible.

In Safety Recommendation A-16-024, identified by NTSB number DCA15FA085, the National Transportation Safety Board has directed the Federal Aviation Administration to take specific action regarding the dissemination of braking performance data. The recommendation states that if the systems described in Safety Recommendation A-16-023 are shown to be technically and operationally feasible, the FAA must work with operators and system manufacturers. This collaboration aims to develop procedures that ensure airplane-based braking ability results can be readily conveyed to, and easily interpreted by, arriving flight crews, airport operators, air traffic control personnel, and others who have a safety need for this information. The NTSB notes that Safety Recommendations A-16-023 and A-16-024 supersede the earlier Safety Recommendation A-07-064.
