The National Transportation Safety Board has directed aviation training entities to collaborate with the FAA and Textron Aviation on Hawker pilot training updates.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued safety recommendation A-16-045, identified as CEN16MA036. This directive is addressed to Simcom Aviation Training and Flight Safety International. The board urges these organizations to work jointly with the Federal Aviation Administration and Textron Aviation. The goal is to develop and incorporate a nonprecision approach procedure into pilot training programs for Hawker 700-and 800-series aircraft. This new procedure must align with the stabilized approach criteria outlined in Advisory Circular 120-71A. Additionally, the training update aims to eliminate configuration changes at low altitudes during these approaches.
