NTSB Recommends FAA Review Pilot Handbooks for Safe Single-Engine Ground Operations

The NTSB recommends the FAA review and verify procedures in pilot operating handbooks for multi-engine airplanes used in commuter operations.

The NTSB recommends that the Federal Aviation Administration review the pilot operating handbooks of other multi-engine airplanes used in commuter operations and verify that adequate procedures are included to accomplish safe single-engine ground operations. If adequate procedures are not included, the FAA should require the development and inclusion of appropriate single-engine ground operation procedures.
