NTSB Recommends FAA Review of Arrival Routes at Major Airports

The NTSB urges the FAA to examine and modify arrival procedures at airports with terminal control areas.

The NTSB recommends that the Federal Aviation Administration review preferential arrival routes at major airports where there is a terminal control area (TCA) and modify, as appropriate, those routes or procedures to ensure that air carrier airplanes enter the TCA at or near the upper vertical limit.
