NTSB Recommends FAA Improve Airport Safety Inspector Oversight
The NTSB has issued a recommendation to enhance FAA oversight of airport safety inspectors.
The NTSB recommends that the Federal Aviation Administration develop and promulgate measures to improve management oversight and supervision of airport safety inspectors. These measures are intended to ensure that airport certification inspections are performed in a manner that will achieve full compliance by airport operators with the requirements of 14 CFR 139.
