NTSB Issues Safety Recommendation to FAA Regarding En Route Flight Inspections

The National Transportation Safety Board has issued a safety recommendation directed at the Federal Aviation Administration. The board advises that the agency review its existing training, policies, and procedures concerning en route flight inspections. The goal of this review is to revise these elements to increase the likelihood that FAA inspectors will monitor crew performance adequately.
