ACR X TCASII RA EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN FROM SMA Y. SEE AND AVOID CONCEPT. ACR X TCASII TA HAD LTSS FROM SMA Z. SYS ERROR.
I WAS CAPT ON ACR X; LEAVING ONTARIO; CA. WE WERE ASSIGNED THE PRADO 2 DEP; AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL ON TKOF AND CLBOUT UNTIL JUST S OF THE PARADISE VOR. WE LEVELED OFF AT 7000 FT AS ASSIGNED AND RECEIVED A TA ON THE TCASII SYS; WHICH INDICATED TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK AND 5 MI AT 7000 FT. WE PICKED UP THE TFC VISUALLY AT ABOUT 4 MI AND RECEIVED AN RA TO DSND. WE ADVISED ATC THAT WE WERE GOING DOWN AND HAD DSNDED 300-400 FT WHEN AN SMA Y PASSED OVERHEAD. WE CLBED BACK TO 7000 FT AND WERE INSTRUCTED BY ATC TO CLB TO 11000 FT. AFTER INITIATING OUR CLB TO 11000 FT; WE RECEIVED ANOTHER TA; INDICATING TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK AND 5 MI AT ABOUT 11000 FT. WE PICKED UP THIS SMA Z VISUALLY AT ABOUT 4 MI ALSO AND COULD TELL THAT IT WAS MOVING FROM R TO L. WE LEVELED AT 11000 FT AND THE TFC PASSED ABOUT 1/2 MI OFF TO OUR L. AT THIS TIME WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM ATC STATING THAT WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED 10000 FT. I REPLIED THAT WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED 11000 FT AND HAD READ BACK 11000. ATC GAVE US A TELEPHONE NUMBER TO CALL AFTER REACHING DFW. WE CALLED THE NUMBER UPON ARRIVING AND WERE TOLD THAT WE WERE CORRECT; THAT WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED 11000 FT; AND THAT THE CTLR HAD MADE A MISTAKE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE DEP CTLR HAD ISSUED TFC TO HIM AT ABOUT 4 MI. THE CTLR INDICATED THE TFC WAS VFR NO MODE C. THE RPTR STATED AFTER TCASII RA AND EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN HE IDENTED THE TFC AS SMA Y. THE RPTR STATED THE SECOND TCASII TA WAS IDENTED AS ANOTHER SMA Z. HE HAD THE SECOND SMA VISUAL AND NO EVASIVE ACTION NEEDED TO BE TAKEN.
