THE FO OF AN ACR MLG ACFT TOOK OVER ACFT CTL DURING TKOF INITIAL CLB FROM THE CAPT.
IN RSW WX WAS MOVING IN. WE WERE PUSHING BACK AND SAW RAIN FALLING S OF ARPT. I SAID LOOK NOW IT IS COMING DOWN IN SHEETS! WE TAXIED OUT AND SAW RAIN COMING FROM W SIDE OF ARPT. I REQUESTED THAT WE TKOF ON RWY 06 BECAUSE I WANTED TO TKOF IN THE CLR. THE TWR TOLD US TFC WAS INBOUND AND THERE WOULD BE A DELAY; BESIDE THE WIND WAS 230/14. SINCE THAT IS MORE THAN THE TAILWIND ALLOWS; I THEN TOLD THEM WE WOULD USE RWY 24. WE WERE RUSHED AS WE ONLY HAD 1 ENG RUNNING. I TOLD FO TO DO AN UNASSISTED ENG START. WHILE FO STARTED THE OTHER ENG; I PICKED UP THE MIKE TOLD TWR WE WANTED TKOF ON 24 WITH AN IMMEDIATE L TURN TO HDG 060. I WANT TO STAY AWAY FROM WX S. WHILE THE TWR WAS GETTING IT; I HAD TO HELP FO START THE ENG AS #2 WAS 27 PERCENT HOLDING AND FO HAD NOT MOVED FUEL LEVER TO IDLE DETENT. WE COMPLETED THE ENG START CHKLIST. THE TWR TOLD US THE HDG WOULD BE 090. ABOUT THE WIND DIRECTION AND SPD; IT WAS 12-17 KTS WITH DIRECTION SW-W AND CLR FOR DURING THIS WHOLE TIME ATC IS TALKING DURING THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST. I TOLD FO THAT WE WOULD ADD 10 KTS TO ALL V-SPD BEFORE TKOF STAYING ON RWY LONGER; BECAUSE IN CASE WE RUN INTO SOME WIND ON TKOF WE HAVE EXTRA SPD TO USE UP. IN OTHER WORD; I AM ANTICIPATING AND SHOWING SAFETY. WE TKOF; I ROTATED WITH EXTRA SPD POSITIVE RATE GEAR UP. ABOUT 300 FT AGL I FELT AND SAW THE RATE OF CLB WAS DROPPING OFF. I PULL BACK ON WHEEL TILL I GOT STICK SHAKER; CLB WAS GOOD. I THEN RELAXED BACK PRESSURE. I THEN SAW THAT FO HAD PUT HIS HANDS ON THE WHEEL AND WAS PUSHING FORWARD. I SAID I GOT IT. I THEN PULL BACK ON WHEEL AGAINST HIS PUSHING TILL I GOT THE STICK SHAKER AGAIN. WE WERE REALLY NOW CLBING. HE THEN PUSHED PWR FULL FORWARD. I RELAXED BACK PRESSURE AS WE WERE REALLY CLBING AS SOON AS THE STICK SHAKER SOUND STOP. HE PULLED PWR BACK OFF. DURING THE WHOLE TIME I KEEP SAYING; I GOT IT; LET GO I'VE GOT IT. I GOT IT. WHILE STILL CLBING I PULLED AGAINST HIS PUSH BUT HE KEPT PUSHING FORWARD. I WAS LOSING THE BATTLE BUT THE ACFT WAS STILL CLBING. HE COULD PUSH A LOT STRONGER WITH HIS BACK TO SEAT; THAN I COULD PULL AGAINST MY FLT. WHEN AIRSPD GOT TO 180 KT STILL ACCELERATING; WE WERE AT 2500 FT. FO LET THE WHEEL GO. HE RETRACTED THE FLAPS ON SCHEDULE AND THE CLB WAS NORMAL.
