Synopsis

Air carrier pilot taxiing to parking at LGA reported a taxi error due to ATC instructions differing from FD PRO Chart instructions.

Narrative

FD PRO LGA Chart gives instruction for parking at gate XX (enter southbound on ramp…) but Ground Control and Ramp Control issued conflicting instructions. Upon landing on Rwy 22 Ground directed Lane 1. Contact Ramp." Ramp directed "Lane 1; Lane 7 to park." Being mine and the FOs first time landing Rwy 22 at LGA; neither of us were familiar with the airport layout and did not immediately recognize that these taxi instructions would have us enter parking northbound rather than southbound as the Chart directs. I directed the FO to query Ramp Control. Ramp was insistent that we "follow the line to parking". I then directed the FO to query Operations but they did not initially answer our radio call. After ensuring the ramp and gate was clear of obstructions and the marshallers were in place; we made the right-hand turn into parking. Once parked at the gate; I contacted Operation and asked to speak to the Ramp Supervisor. The Ramp Supervisor and the marshaling team were unaware of the chart instructions and he had no issues with parking northbound approaching aircraft at gate XX. He also stated that he would recommend deleting the chart "southbound" instruction."
