Synopsis

Air carrier flight crew reported as they were exiting the runway; another aircraft under tow turned onto the same taxiway. The flight crew immediately stopped to avoid a collision.

Narrative

During pushback I noticed we had 2 extra flight attendants (FAs) on the final weights that weren't on the actual airplane. I contacted load planning and operations to correct the issue but due to an issue with crew scheduling; we couldn't solve it before getting to the runway. Ground told us to hold short of 1L at M1. After holding for a few minutes; they needed to move us around; so we contacted Tower and they got us to line up and wait on 1L for another few minutes. After they cleared some traffic; we were told to exit at M; back onto bravo then hold short of 1L at M1 again. As we exited the runway; the Captain noticed an aircraft under tow near A that was turning onto Bravo. He automatically stopped the plane to understand where this aircraft was going. We noticed Aircraft Y under tow by a tug was not slowing down; even though we had all our lights on and were clearly halfway into Taxiway Bravo. I told ATC to tell the aircraft under tow to stop right away; but they couldn't get a hold of him. The aircraft continued to taxi; missing our windshield by no more than 2-3 feet with their wingtip. Due to the Captain stopping the turn onto B when he noticed the aircraft; we were able to avoid the collision. We told ATC again what just happened; but they seemingly had zero interest in the event. This event occurred exactly at XA:41.
