FLC OF ACR MLG ACFT INADVERTENTLY OVERSHOT DSCNT XING ALT DUE TO ACFT EQUIP PROBLEM DISTR.
THE R MAIN TIRE SHED ITS TREAD AND TOOK OUT THE GEAR DOOR ON TKOF AT EUG. THE ONLY COCKPIT INDICATION WAS THE R GEAR RED LIGHT REMAINED ON. BRINGING GEAR HANDLE SLIGHTLY BELOW NEUTRAL UP AGAIN EXTINGUISHED THE RED GEAR LIGHT SO WE PROCEEDED TO DEN NOT REALIZING AT THAT TIME WHAT CAUSED THE RED LIGHT NOT TO GO OFF WITH GEAR RETRACTION. ENRTE ATC CALLED US AND INFORMED US THAT EUG SAID THAT TIRE DEBRIS GEAR DOOR PARTS WERE LEFT ON THE RWY AT EUG. WE REALIZED AT THAT TIME WE MAY HAVE ONE OR BOTH TIRES BLOWN OUT ON THE R SIDE. WE CONTACTED MAINT AND COORDINATED A FLYBY THE TWR AND EMER LNDG AT DEN. IN THE HIGH WORKLOAD PERIOD DSNDING INTO DEN THE FO; WHO WAS THE PIC DOING AN IOE FOR ME; SET 13000 FT IN ALT WINDOW UPON BEING CLRED FOR THE PROFILE DSCNT. I THOUGHT HE SET 17000 FT FOR DRAKO BUT APPARENTLY DIDN'T CONFIRM IT. I SELECTED LEVEL CHANGE SO I COULD START SLOWING TO 250 KTS. ABOUT 10 MI W OF DRAKO WE REALIZED WE WERE TOO LOW AND BEGAN AN IMMEDIATE CLB TO 17000 FT. ABOUT 14000 FT ATC QUERIED US ABOUT OUR ALT AND WE RESPONDED SAYING WE WERE CLBING BACK TO 17000 FT. WE WERE WELL CLR OF THE TERRAIN IN VMC CONDITIONS AND LANDED DFW WITHOUT INCIDENT.
