Passenger on a SR22 reported that the aircraft yawed after a bounced landing and departed the runway surface.

Narrative

While landing on Runway XX; the pilot flying experienced a bounced landing and; for unknown reasons; yawed the aircraft to the right. Despite our earlier briefing; the pilot did not correctly execute the go-around procedure. Power was initially added but then reduced while the aircraft was yawed left; resulting in a second touchdown while still significantly yawed. The aircraft subsequently departed the runway surface and came to rest in tall grass to the left of the runway.Although I am a certificated pilot; I was not acting as PIC and did not have the flight controls during the landing. Prior to departure we had briefed the go-around and emergency takeoff procedures; and the PIC had completed three other landings earlier that morning. Failure to follow the go-around procedure after the initial touchdown removed the remaining margin of airspeed and altitude for any recovery; and the alternating bank and yaw directly contributed to the loss of control and runway excursion. There were no injuries to either occupant.
