MDT DEPARTS WITH LESS THAN REQUIRED FUEL FOR WX CONDITIONS.
DUE TO WX WE WERE RUNNING LATE ON A THROUGH FLT. I CALLED OVER THE RADIO FOR FUEL AND WENT ON DOING SOME OF THE OTHER DUTIES THAT ARE REQUIRED. WE COMPLETED THE BEFORE START CHKLIST WHICH INCLUDES OUR FUEL CHK AND WE NOTICED WE HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY AT THAT TIME. WE HAD ALL THE PEOPLE ON BOARD AND WERE WAITING FOR THE PAX COUNT WHEN A BAG TUG ALMOST RAN OVER THE GND MARSHALL WHO STARTS US. ANOTHER THING; WE WERE NOT PARKED ON THE GATE ASSIGNED SO THE FUEL TRUCK NEVER FOUND US. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT A MAJOR PART OF PROB WAS THAT THE FLC COULD ONLY WATCH AS THE MARSHALLER WAS ALMOST KILLED BY THE TUG. TUG DRIVER'S HEAD MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE CLOUDS SOMEWHERE. RPTR VERY SHAKEN BY INCIDENT. GND PERSONNEL WERE RUSHING THE FLC DUE TO GATE PROB AND TRYING TO GET ACFT OUT OF THERE. LNDG WAS MADE WITH REQUIRED IFR RESERVE; BUT NOT FOR ALTERNATE HAD IT BEEN NECESSARY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 229909: FLT DELAYED FOR LOW VISIBILITIES IN FOG THAT WAS OCCURRING FOR LAST FEW DAYS. DEPARTED LATE; THEREFORE; NEXT LEG WAS DUE OUT UPON OUR ARR. WE CALLED FOR FUELERS AND WERE ADVISED THEY HAD OUR ORDER. WHEN CHKLIST ITEM WAS CALLED; I RESPONDED THAT WE STILL NEEDED IT. WE WERE IMMEDIATELY BOARDED AND STARTED #2 ENG. AT BOARDING COMPLETION STARTED #1 AND TAXIED FOR DEP. AT THE AFTER TKOF CHKLIST I NOTICED WE DID NOT HAVE REQUIRED FUEL FOR 2 ALTERNATES THAT WERE LISTED ON THE DISPATCH RELEASE. WE DID HAVE FUEL FOR DEST AND REQUIRED RESERVE ONLY. DECIDED TO CONTINUE TO DEST AS PLANNED BECAUSE HRLY WX SEQUENCE SHOWED WX (LOW VISIBILITY) CLRED AND RPTED AS VFR. OUR CHKLIST SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED WHEN I SAID FUEL WAS NEEDED BUT WE CONTINUED CAUSING US TO MISTAKENLY ASSUME WE HAD BEEN FUELED. ADDITIONALLY; AS PER MY USUAL ROUTINE; I SHOULD HAVE MADE A NOTE ON THE PAPER WHERE I RECORD OFF ON TIMES SO THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN AIRBORNE. ANOTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS THE FACT THAT WE HAD NO GATE TO PARK AT ARR. WE WERE EVENTUALLY PARKED AT A REMOTE SITE. ALTHOUGH IN VIEW OF THE TERMINAL; THE FUELERS WOULD HAVE FOUND US EASIER HAD WE BEEN ON AN ACTUAL GATE.
