Air Taxi Captain reported experiencing GPS jamming.
GPS jamming in vicinity of White Sands Test Range. We were planning to use GPS approach to RWY 30 to thread between the mountains to the runway. We had verified the fixes while in the chocks and pre-briefed the approach. The loss of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and ADS-B out took that option away. The enroute ATC controllers advised it was a common occurrence and GPS may not come back by TUS. The aircraft Internet reception was also blocked. This forced us to use the ILS into RW12 TUS. It does cross a medium size hill / mountain on final. It was night and very late and we were on Day 8 of continuous high frequency flight ops thus fatigue was a consideration. I was able to cajole the company duty manager to get us rooms during the 5 hour and thirty minute sit in ZZZ.Losing GPS approach ability is a big deal to a normally GPS aircraft when limited ILS options exist.Cause: Military jamming operations.Suggestions: Warn aircraft approaching the Test Range and advise when they can expect to regain GPS and ADS-B out. The enroute ATC controllers had very limited info. Which is strange because they say it happens frequently.
