LTT HAS STICK SHAKER ACTIVATE ON ENTERING IMC IN CLB AND TURN.

Narrative

FLT XXX PSP TO LAS TO SGU TO SLC WITH 30 PAX; CREW OF 3 PLUS AN OBSERVER. JUST UNDER GROSS WT. WIND; MY RECOLLECTION 310 DEGS AT 8 KTS. TOOK OFF ON RWY 34 AT SGU. RWY HAS AN UPSLOPE. AFTER CALLING FOR GEAR UP AND REACHING AN ALT OF 500 FT PLUS BEGAN R TURN TO ENTER THE HOLDING PATTERN TO CLB TO 12000 FT. TURN COMMENCED IN THE CLOUDS AND AT START OF TURN GOT STICK SHAKER MECHANICAL WARNING. LEVELED WINGS; LOWERED PITCH ATTITUDE AND RECOVERED WITH NO LOSS OF ALT. COPLT ASSISTED BY CALL OUTS ON PITCH ATTITUDE AND HE HELPED RETRIM ACFT AS I LOWERED THE PITCH. V2 FOR TKOF WAS 112 KTS (MY RECOLLECTION). PITCH ATTITUDE PRIOR TO ABOVE CORRECTIONS WAS 12 TO 15 DEGS AND AIRSPD V2 MINUS 5 TO 7. APPEARS AFTER THE FACT TRIM SETTING POSSIBLY IN ERROR AND DETERIORATION OF AIRSPD AND INCREASE IN PITCH TEMPORARILY NOT NOTED BY PLTS WHEN GOING FROM VISUAL TO IMC CONDITIONS. RECOMMEND TO USE FLT DIRECTOR GAR MODE (7 DEG PITCH UP AND WINGS LEVEL) ON ALL INSTRUMENT IFR DEPS; ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT OR REDUCED VISIBILITY. ALSO NO TURNS COMMENCED PRIOR TO VERIFICATION OF PITCH ATTITUDE AND AIRSPD V2 PLUS 10 OR GREATER.
