Air taxi Learjet 60 flight crew reported a taxiway excursion due to snow on the taxiway. Aircraft was towed back to ramp area for inspection.
Day 0 estimated time XA:30 per ZZZ ATC GROUND XXX.X taxied De-Ice Pad 1 to 1 taxiway to 2 to 3 taxiway to hold short of 4 for Runway XX for departure. Location of incident was on intersection of 2 & 3.Weather conditions at the time incident: 230/03 Visibility 9 miles with Light Snow ceiling broken at XXXX feet XXXY feet overcast temperature -6 dew-point -8 Altimeter XX.XX active Runway was XX.Morning night time conditions just before dawn.PIC was Taxiing aircraft:PIC departed FBO Ramp area XA:10 via ATC instructions 5 hold-short of Runway XY was instructed to cross Runway XY at 5 the join 3 and then 1 into the DEICE Ramp. Both PIC & SIC (Second in Command) observed that taxiways from FBO Ramp to DEICE Pad 1 were not sufficiently cleared with only blue taxi way light visible to assist in identifying taxiways with limited taxiway pavement markings. After Deicing and PIC Taxing:Upon entering 2 intersection attempted to make a right turn on 3 taxiway plane started sliding PIC straightened out nose wheel and the aircraft continued to slide straight ahead on 3 taxiway nosewheel settled in the grass past the paved taxiway. ATC confirmed that we were in the grass and they called 'Airport Operations' and they confirmed that our nosewheel was in the Grass and airport operations called airport fire rescue to respond in case we needed emergency assistance (emergency assistance was not needed for the passengers or crew from fire rescue).PIC advised passengers that our nosewheel was off the taxiway and we would need a tug to get us back on the taxiway and to the ramp area to do an inspection of the nosewheel.PIC had the FBO bring a van to disembark the 4 passengers with their bags and brought them back to the FBO.The FBO responded with a light tug and towbar hooked up nosewheel and wasn't able to push aircraft back on to the taxiway; the FBO requested a tow truck to push the plane back on the taxiway.Tow truck responded and pushed plane onto taxiway.FBO connected Light tug to towbar and towed aircraft back to the ramp area for maintenance to do an inspection of the nosewheel.Based on conditions of the initial taxiways and at the intersection of 2 & 3 taxiway; taxiways could have been better plowed and cleared of snow and ice.
