Synopsis

Air carrier Captain reported that after engine start for push back; the aircraft rolled uncontrolled.

Narrative

We were at a hard stand. Push crew communication was ready for brakes. After engine start aircraft rolled and we never heard from push crew. We thought we were connected to tug. Push crew wasn't there and they never advised they were disconnecting etc.
