Synopsis

Air carrier Dispatcher reported being advised by flight crew of hitting runway end lights during landing on a snowy runway. No significant damage was reported.

Narrative

Dispatch was made aware of aircraft incident by crew phone call about an hour after termination of flight. Before the incident; flight was held for approaches into ZZZ and runways were in varying process of treatment; and even fully closed; due to winds and braking action reports during the snow event. Dispatch and crew communicated via ACARS during hold concerning alternates; conditions at alternates; and current reported Field Conditions at ZZZ based on NOTAMs and ATC desk alerts. Crew reported last known Field Condition of 5/5/5; and then heard reports of 4 on short final. Crew asked for a wind check as well and reported landing in touchdown zone. Crew reported poor braking action when reaching end of runway; and while they were able to contain the landing within the runway; they hit the runway end lights. They also reported no significant damage to aircraft and no alerts; but noted scratches on aircraft. Maintenance Dispatcher was notified.
