CAPT OF ACR MLG ACFT LOST CTL OF ACFT DURING TAXI OFF RWY AFTER LNDG RESULTING IN SKIDDING OFF THE TXWY DUE TO WET PAVEMENT.
CAPT WAS FLYING THE AIRPLANE. AN AREA OF RAIN SHOWERS HAD JUST MOVED ACROSS THE ARPT. THE RWYS AND TXWYS WERE WET BUT NO RAIN WAS CURRENTLY FALLING. CAPT MADE A NORMAL TOUCHDOWN AND LNDG ON RWY 9. DURING LNDG ROLL TWR ASKED IF WE COULD EXIT AT HIGH SPD TXWY C-2. CAPT ATTEMPTED TO STOP BUT ROLLED SLIGHTLY PAST. TWR ASKED US TO EXPEDITE TO THE END AND CONTACT GND. APCHING TXWY C-1; CAPT REAPPLIED THE BRAKES AND STARTED TO TURN THE NOSEWHEEL TILLER. THE ANTI-SKID BEGAN TO CYCLE AND THE NOSEWHEEL BEGAN TO SKID ON THE WET; WHITE PAINTED RWY MARKINGS. WHEN IT BECAME APPARENT THE ACFT WAS NOT GOING TO STOP; I SWITCHED BOTH ANTI-SKID SWITCHES OFF; BUT THE NOSEWHEEL CONTINUED TO SKID. ACFT COMPLETED APPROX 45 DEGS OF TURN AND DEPARTED E SIDE OF TXWY C-1 AT AN APPROX 45 DEG ANGLE. NOSEWHEEL AND R MAIN EMBEDDED IN MUD. L MAIN REMAINED ON TXWY SHOULDER. ADVISED GND. NO BRAKING ACTION RPTS WERE ISSUED. NO INJURIES WERE RPTED. NO OBVIOUS DAMAGE TO ACFT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM ACN 241171: TALKED TO ANOTHER CAPT WHO LANDED ON RWY 1 ABOUT 1 HR LATER AND HE ALMOST DID THE SAME THING. THE RWYS IN KANSAS CITY ARE VERY DECEPTIVE! THERE ARE SEVERAL LAYERS OF PAINT ON THE STRIPES AT THE END OF THE RWY AND THE RAIN GROOVES ARE FULL OF PAINT; WHICH CONTRIBUTES TO THE PROB. I WAS TOLD BY COMPANY PERSONNEL AT MCI THAT 2 YRS AGO ANOTHER ACFT DEPARTED THE TXWY AT THE SAME EXACT POINT; IN THE SAME EXACT CONDITIONS.
