2 ACFT FLYING VISUAL APCHS TO PARALLEL RWYS RECEIVE TCASII RA'S. ONE COMPLIES WITH TCASII AND THE OTHER CONTINUES HIS APCH.
CLRED FOR SIMULTANEOUS VISUAL APCHS TO OUR RESPECTIVE RWYS. WE ACKNOWLEDGED SEEING ACR B. WE DON'T RECALL IF HE ACKNOWLEDGED SEEING US. ABOUT 5 MI ON FINAL; APPROX 2000 MSL; WE RECEIVED A 'DSND; XING; DSND.' RA CAUSED BY ACR B AT OUR 2 O'CLOCK; INDICATING ABOUT 200 FT BELOW US AND CLBING. WE KNEW HE WAS THE CAUSE OF THE RA (WE WERE EXPECTING IT TO HAPPEN) AND SAFELY COMPLETED OUR APCH. ACR B WENT AROUND BECAUSE HE SAID HE HAD A 'CLB' RA FOR AN UNKNOWN ACFT 200 FT BELOW HIM. WHEN HE MADE THAT STATEMENT WE WERE; IN FACT; 200 FT BELOW HIS ALT BECAUSE HE WAS GOING AROUND; BUT THE RA STARTED WITH US 200 FT ABOVE HIS ALT. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH HOW TCASII COORDINATED OUR 'DSND; XING; DSND' WITH HIS 'CLB.' THE SCENARIO WAS WELL ORCHESTRATED BY ATC WITH GOOD TA'S. I SAW NO COMPROMISES TO SAFETY. I BELIEVE ACR B COULD HAVE PREVENTED HIS GAR IF HE HAD KEPT TRACK OF US ON HIS SCOPE AS WE PROGRESSED FROM PROX THROUGH TA AND RA. HAVING LOST TRACK/AWARENESS OF OUR POS; THOUGH; HIS RESPONSE WAS APPROPRIATE. I THINK WE; AS PLTS; NEED MORE GUIDANCE ON TCASII USE DURING SIMULTANEOUS VISUAL APCHS; SUCH AS TA ONLY; IGNORE THE ANTICIPATED RA; ETC.
