Synopsis

FLC LANDED WITHOUT A WX RPT FOR THE LNDG ARPT.

Narrative

BEFORE DEP; COMPANY OPS GAVE ME DUAT WX FOR OUR DEST WHICH WAS BETTER THAN OUR COMPANY MINIMUMS. AFTER A 5 1/2 HR FLT; WE WERE HANDED OFF TO KANSAS CITY APCH. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CALLING OUT APCH CHKLIST ITEMS WHEN WE RECEIVED ATC WX FOR WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS OUR DEST ARPT. EITHER THE CTLR MISSPOKE; I TALKED OVER HIM; OR WE JUST MISHEARD WHAT HE SAID. IN ANY EVENT; WE LANDED AT AN ARPT WITHOUT WX RPTING. THE NET EFFECT DUE TO THIS ERROR WAS A RWY OVERRUN. I BELIEVE THE PROB AROSE DUE TO CREW FATIGUE. WE DISCOVERED OUR ERROR ONLY WHEN TALKING TO THE CTL TWR THE NEXT DAY. THIS MIGHT HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF I HAD NOT TALKED OVER THE CTLR'S INITIAL XMISSION. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 291262: JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN; A GUST OF WIND CARRIED US PAST THE TOUCHDOWN ZONE. OUR GND SPD SEEMED HIGHER THAN NORMAL. I CALLED FOR GAR AND STARTED TO ADVANCE THE THROTTLES. AT THAT MOMENT WE FELT A SLIGHT STALL BUFFET (POSSIBLY DUE TO ICE ON THE ACFT). I CLOSED THE THROTTLES AND PUT THE PLANE ON THE GND. I THEN DISCOVERED THE RWY WAS ICY AND THE BRAKES WERE INEFFECTIVE. DAMAGE WAS A FEW NICKS IN THE R PROP.
