FLC OF AN SMT FAILED TO GET LNDG CLRNC AFTER BEING CLRED FOR THE APCH.
UPON REACHING TVC; ZMP CLRS US FOR THE ILS APCH RWY 28 INTO TVC. A CALL WAS ATTEMPTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEING HANDED OFF TO TVC TWR (APPROX 10 MI OUT). NO REPLY WAS HEARD AT THAT TIME. WHILE FLYING THE APCH; WE HEARD A SENECA RPT SHORT FINAL. AGAIN; WE HEARD NO REPLY FROM TWR. BUSY WITH THE APCH; NOT A LOT OF THOUGHT WAS GIVEN TO THE FACT THAT WE DIDN'T HEAR A REPLY FROM THE TWR TO THE SENECA. I MIGHT ADD THAT THERE WAS AT LEAST 5 MI BTWN THE SENECA AND US. IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER THE SENECA CALLED THAT I THOUGHT I CALLED AGAIN WITH NO REPLY. HOWEVER; I'M NOT CERTAIN. WE BROKE OUT OF IMC AND SAW THE RWY AND PROCEEDED INBOUND. WE HEARD NO ONE ON THE FREQ DURING THE APCH WITH EXCEPTION OF THE SENECA. AS WE TOUCHED DOWN; I CALLED THE TWR AGAIN THIS TIME WITH TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AND A RPT THAT WE DIDN'T RECEIVE CLRNC TO LAND FROM THEM. THE TWR WAS ADVISED OF OUR LOCATION THROUGH THE HDOF FROM MINNEAPOLIS. IF THERE WERE ATTEMPTS FROM TRAVERSE TWR TO CALL US DURING THE APCH; WE DIDN'T RECEIVE THEM. WE CALLED THE TWR TO DISCUSS THIS INCIDENT; MORE TO APOLOGIZE THAN TO COME UP WITH A RESOLUTION. MY FEELING IS THAT ONE OF US HAD A PROB WITH OUR COM RADIO. OURS DID FUNCTION FINE WHILE ON GND CTL AND LATER DURING DEP. WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THAT I LANDED WITHOUT A CLRNC THAT DAY UNINTENTIONALLY.
