MINOR GND COLLISION BTWN ACR WDB AND ACR LTT.
WE CALLED GND CTL FOR CLRNC; RECEIVED AN INDIVIDUAL (NOT COMPOUND) CLRNC TO PUSH AND COMPLETED BEFORE PUSHBACK CHKLIST. TUG STARTED ACFT PUSHBACK AND MOVED APPROX 35-40 FT. DURING THIS STAGE; ALL OPS APPEARED NORMAL UNTIL ACR Y SHORTS; FLT ADVISED SJU GND CTL THAT HE HAD BEEN STRUCK BY ACR X ACFT. THE TUG PULLED OUR ACFT BACK TO THE GATE. SJU GND DID NOT ISSUE ANY RAMP ADVISORY CONCERNING THE PROX OF ANY FLT; NEITHER SPECIFICALLY ACR Y; NOR DID WE HEAR ANY SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION GIVEN TO ACR Y CONCERNING OUR PUSHBACK. IN OUR CONVERSATION WITH SJU ATC/GND WE WERE GIVEN A PHONE NUMBER. WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED THEM IF THEY HAD CLRED ACR Y INTO THE RAMP. THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD GIVEN HIM THE PROPER CLRNC. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THERE IS CONSTRUCTION GOING ON IN THE VICINITY OF THE GATES WHERE THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED. THIS MEANS THAT THE RPTR'S ACFT HAD TO START A TURN IMMEDIATELY WHILE BEING PUSHED BACK. THE R WING WALKER HAD TO LEAVE HIS POSITION TO RUN FORWARD TO GET IN VIEW OF THE TUG DRIVER TO STOP THE PUSH. THE WING WALKER WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE PUSH IN TIME. THE RPTR RPTED HEARSAY THAT THE OTHER ACFT STOPPED ITS TAXI; THEN 'TRIED TO BEAT THE TRAIN ACROSS THE TRACK' AND LOST THE RACE. THE RPTR DOES NOT KNOW WHAT DAMAGE THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN TO THE SHORTS ACFT. THE R WINGTIP LIGHT LENS COVER WAS BROKEN ON THE L-1011; THE ONLY DAMAGE. THE RPTR HAS NOT HEARD FROM THE FAA ON THIS INCIDENT.
