MLG FLC USES WRONG TRANSITION DURING DEP ON SID.
AFTER TKOF FROM LGA I FLEW THE WRONG TRANSITION BECAUSE I WAS NOT 'IN THE LOOP' (LISTENING) WHEN FO GOT THE CLRNC AND BECAUSE THE FO WAS NOT LISTENING WHEN I GAVE THE TKOF BRIEFING; SINCE I BRIEFED THE WHITESTONE CLB AND HE KNEW WE WERE SUPPOSED TO FLY CONEY CLB. THE DIFFERENCE WAS THAT I BEGAN A L TURN WHEN I SHOULD HAVE CONTINUED STRAIGHT AHEAD. WHEN ESTABLISHED IN THE TURN; DEP CALLED AND ASKED IF WE WERE GIVEN CONEY CLB. FO SAID YES. I SAID NOT WHAT I WAS DOING. DEP SAID 'NO PROB' CONTINUE TURNING L. I FEEL THAT SEVERAL EVENTS CAUSED THIS ERROR ON MY PART. #1: I HAVE BEEN FLYING OUT OF LGA FOR 20 YRS AND DON'T REMEMBER EVER DOING A CONEY CLB NO MATTER WHICH WAY I WAS HEADED (E; W; S; OR N). #2) THE TRANSITION IS NOT IN THE FMC SO IT IS NOT VISIBLE ON SCREEN IN THE DEP; ONLY THE FIRST FIX OF FLT PLAN. #3) THE FLT PLAN READ LGA-6 WHITE.STE.AS FILED.CONEY CLB. I THINK IT WOULD BE LESS CONFUSING IF IT WAS SEQUENTIAL; IE; LGA-6 CONEY CLB WHITE SIE AS FILED. #4) AS I GLANCED AT THE CLRNC I SAW LGA-6 WHITE AND ASSUMED WHITESTONE CLB AS THE TRANSITION WAS ACTUALLY ON THE SECOND PAGE OF THE CLRNC. AT THE TIME I THOUGHT IT WAS STRANGE THEY WOULD PRINT WHITE INSTEAD OF WHITESTONE (SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CLUE!). FINALLY; THE FO SHOULD HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO MY TKOF BRIEFING AND CORRECTED ME; AS WE PRACTICE COCKPIT RESOURCE MGMNT AND I BRIEF MY CREWS TO SPEAK UP IF SOMETHING IS NOT CORRECT!
