Synopsis

AN SMT TWIN TURBOPROP COLLIDED WITH AN SMA SEL DURING LNDG ROLL. BOTH ACFT HAD MINOR DAMAGE TO THEIR ONE WINGTIP WHERE THEY COLLIDED.

Narrative

ON AN IFR FLT FROM CRQ TO E38; WE CANCELED IFR APPROX 35 MI W OF ARPT. WE CONTACTED ALPINE UNICOM AT APPROX 20 MI AND RECEIVED AN ARPT ADVISORY. THE WINDS WERE RPTED AS 060 DEGS AT 9-10 KTS FAVORING RWY 05. WE RPTED OUR POS AND STATED WE'D BE USING RWY 5. WE RPTED AGAIN AT 7 MI; UPON ENTERING DOWNWIND; TURNING BASE AND FINAL. AT NO TIME DID WE HEAR ANOTHER ACFT ON THE RADIO NOR WAS UNICOM AWARE OF ANY TFC IN THE AREA. WE LANDED ON RWY 5 WITH THE INTENTION OF ROLLING TO THE END TO TURN OFF TO THE RAMP. AT THE INTXN WITH RWY 1/19; WE CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF MOVEMENT AND THEN SAW A CESSNA LNDG ON RWY 19. AS WE PASSED WE HEARD A 'THUMP.' THE TOTAL TIME FROM FIRST SIGHT UNTIL IMPACT WAS APPROX 1 SECOND. OUR AIRPLANE REMAINED FULLY CONTROLLABLE AND WE CONTINUED TO THE END TURNOFF AND THEN WERE ABLE TO SEE THE CESSNA TAXIING TO THE RAMP. WE CONTINUED TO THE RAMP AND SHUT DOWN NORMALLY. OUR WINGTIP WAS DAMAGED AS WAS THE CESSNA'S WING. OTHER THAN HAVING SPOTTED THE OTHER ACFT OR ENSURING WE WERE STOPPED PRIOR TO THE INTXN; I DON'T KNOW OF ANYTHING WE COULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY.
