FLC OF AN MLG SLOWED THEIR CLB RATE IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA.
ON POM 6 SID OUT OF ONT; SOCAL RECLRED US TO LEVEL OFF AT 7500 FT MSL AS WE PASSED 4000 FT. SUBSEQUENTLY; SOCAL VECTORED US OFF THE SID; HDG 280 DEGS; FOR TFC. WE OBSERVED 2 ACFT ON THE TCASII DISPLAY NEITHER OF WHICH DID SOCAL POINT OUT TO US DIRECTLY. VISIBILITY TO THE W WAS LIMITED DUE TO THE GLARE FROM THE SUN OFF THE HAZE. ON THE TCASII; THE CLOSEST ACFT SHOWED APPROX 8200 FT MSL DSNDING (WE WERE PASSING 7000 FT FOR 7500 FT). SOCAL CALLED TFC AT '2 O'CLOCK AT 8200 FT DSNDING.' WE DID NOT HAVE THE TFC VISUALLY; BUT THE TCASII SHOWED 2 ACFT IN THAT DIRECTION. AT THAT TIME; SOCAL GAVE US A VECTOR OF 310 DEGS AND CONTINUE CLB TO 14000 FT; UNRESTR. (NOTE POM 6 SID HAS AN AT/OR BELOW RESTR OF 8000 FT AT THE POM VOR). NOT HAVING THE OTHER ACFT IN SIGHT; I ASSUMED THE VECTOR/CLB WOULD GET US BEHIND AND ABOVE THE TFC. AS WE ROLLED INTO THE TURN; WE GOT A RA OF 'REDUCE CLB;' WHICH WE BEGAN TO COMPLY WITH BY REDUCING OUR CLB RATE. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER; A SECOND 'RA' OF 'DSND; DSND NOW' OCCURRED AND WE SPOTTED ONE ACFT VISUALLY. WE INFORMED SOCAL OF THE 'RA'S' AND HE INFORMED US THE TFC NEVER CAME WITHIN A MI OF US. I BELIEVE HE WAS CORRECT; BUT I'M NOT SURE HE KNEW OF THE SECOND ACFT. AT NO TIME DURING THE CLB DID WE LEVEL OFF COMPLETELY AND WE CONTINUED THE CLB AFTER THE SECOND 'RA' ONLY AFTER VISUALLY SIGHTING BOTH OTHER ACFT.
