ACFT SUFFERS FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE DURING TKOF PWR APPLICATION.
MYSELF AND COPLT (BOTH TYPED AND CURRENT) ARRIVED AT ARPT 1 HR PRIOR TO A XX00 AM DEP IN AN MU3. WHILE I CHKED THE WX; FIGURED V SPDS; MADE COFFEE; ETC; MY COPLT PREFLTED THE ACFT. THE ACFT HAD BEEN FUELED THE NIGHT BEFORE AND THE LINE PERSON ALREADY HAD THE ACFT PARKED PARALLEL TO THE HANGAR SO THAT LIGHT FROM THE HANGAR WAS ON THE L SIDE OF THE ACFT; LEAVING THE R SIDE UNLIGHTED. WHILE WAITING FOR THE PAX; I ALSO WALKED AROUND THE ACFT TO DOUBLE-CHK THE NOSEWHEEL PIN; TRIM SETTINGS AND OIL CAPS. AFTER THE PAX AND BAGGAGE WERE LOADED; THE ACFT WAS STARTED ON APU WITH THE LINE PERSON STANDING FIRE GUARD. WE TAXIED TO THE END OF THE RWY; MADE ALL NECESSARY TAXI AND PRE-TKOF CHKS AND MOVED INTO POS FOR TKOF. AS PWR WAS APPLIED FOR TKOF; A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE ACFT PULLED SHARPLY TO THE R. BOTH ENGS WERE IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN AND THE ACFT WAS EVACED. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT A RUG THAT THE LINE PERSON HAD USED TO PROTECT THE WING WHEN FUELING THE AFT TANK HAD BEEN LEFT ON THE R WING AND WAS PULLED INTO THE ENG. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 328226: DURING WALKAROUND NOTICED STEPPING MAT ON WING. HOWEVER; LINE SVC/MAINT WAS STILL PERFORMING TASKS FOR FLT. PIC LATER WALKED AROUND ACFT AS WELL AS LINE SVC. IT WAS STILL DARK AND LIGHTS FROM HANGAR SHOWN ON L SIDE OF ACFT WHILE CREATING SHADOWS ON R SIDE. (NOTE: LINE SVC STOOD AT NOSE OF ACFT FOR BOTH ENGS START; APU.) TAXIING NORMAL; CHKLIST COMPLETE; ATC CLRNC RECEIVED. TAXIED ON RWY 12 TKOF CHK COMPLETE ALL NORMAL TKOF PWR APPLIED; LOUD BANG HEARD; ACFT JARRED; BRAKES APPLIED. APPROX TKOF ROLL 10-15 FT 2-3 MPH ROLL. ACFT STOPPED WHILE WE BOTH LOOKED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED; COMPRESSOR STALL? BLOWN TIRE? PAX RPTED ENG FIRE; NO FIRE INDICATIONS ON PANEL. PIC SHUT DOWN ACFT IN PLACE RWY 12 APCH END AND ORDERED EVAC. ENGS SHUT DOWN; FIRE WENT OUT; NO INJURIES. FIRE TRUCKS ARRIVED ABOUT 5-10 MINS LATER; WALKED AROUND AND SAW R ENG INJECTED (FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE) AND TORE ITSELF APART. POSSIBLE FUEL MAT INJECTION AT PWR APPLICATION TO TAKE RWY.
