SMA HAS LNDG GEAR PROB ON APCH. GAR TO HELP SOLVE PROB.

Narrative

ON FINAL; LNDG GEAR SWITCH DOWN; NO GREEN INDICATOR LIGHTS. TEST LIGHT SHOWED ALL BULB INDICATORS OK. BATTERY (MAIN) WAS ON. LNDG GEAR FUSE FOUND POPPED UP. GAR AND COMMUNICATED TO TWR. ADVISED TO STAY ON FREQ. AT LEAST 90 LBS FUEL REMAINED. FUSE REPLACED; GEAR CYCLED UP/DOWN AGAIN. FUSE POPPED OUT AGAIN; NO INDICATOR LIGHTS ON. FUSE REPLACED; GEAR CYCLED UP. AIRSPD SLOWED TO 80 KIAS. FUSE PULLED; GEAR LEVER DOWN; EMER DROP LEVER PULLED -- 2 GREEN LIGHTS ON MAINS; NEGATIVE ON NOSEWHEEL. LOW APCH; TWR RPTED NOSE GEAR DOWN. CESSNA ON RWY SAID NOSEWHEEL DID NOT APPEAR TO BE COMPLETELY DOWN. FUSE REPLACED; EMER DROP LEVER PUSHED. GEAR CYCLED UP. GEAR CYCLED DOWN WITH MANUAL PRESSURE ON FUSE. BRIEFLY SAW 3 GREENS BEFORE FUSE POPPED OUT. ANOTHER LOW APCH. ACR PLT ADVISED THAT GEAR APPEARED DOWN AS DID AIRBORNE CESSNA. FIRE TRUCKS DEPLOYED. FINAL APCH 75 KTS; CUT OFF MIXTURE OVER THRESHOLD. MAINS TOUCHED DOWN AT 55 KIAS. HELD NOSE OFF AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. NOSEGEAR DOWN AND LOCKED ON ROLLOUT. MIXTURE RICH; ENG RESTART; TAXI NORMAL WITH NO IRREGULAR MOTION/RUDDER-NOSE GEAR STEERING DIFFICULTIES. AT ANNUAL IN JAN/96; GEAR EVALUATED AND DROP TEST PERFORMED -- EVERYTHING OK. PRESENTLY IN SHOP FOR RETESTING. POSSIBLE BENT NOSEGEAR FROM TOWING AT KISSIMMEE -- RPT PENDING. MECH FOUND FAULTY ELECTRICAL RELAY AND REPLACED.
