ATC FLC MISCOM ON ASSIGNED HDG. ALL 3 FLC RPTRS STATE THAT THE HDG GIVEN WAS 350 DEGS AND THEY READ IT BACK TWICE. FLC HAD TO AVOID ANOTHER ACFT ON THAT HDG; THOUGH TCASII IS NOT MENTIONED. ATC REVIEWED TAPES AND AFFIRM THAT THE HDG WAS 250 DEGS AND THAT THE FLC RADIO WAS SCRATCHY AND UNREADABLE ON THE TAPE.
ON AUG/XX/96; FLEW FROM HUF TO DFW WITH A CREW CONSISTING OF MR A; MR B AND MR C. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE DFW APCH CTL AREA WHILE ON THE BLUE RIDGE ARR INTO DFW. THE CTLR GAVE US A RADAR VECTOR TO A HDG OF 350 DEGS; WHICH THE CREW CONFIRMED TWICE. THIS DIRECTION RESULTED IN TFC AVOIDANCE MANEUVERS TO AVOID AN ACR ACFT. AFTER ANOTHER RADAR VECTOR TO INTERCEPT THE LOC RWY 18R; WE PROCEEDED TO LAND. AFTER LNDG SAFELY AND CLR OF THE RWY; THE CREW CONTACTED GND CTL FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. THEY TOLD US THAT THEY HAD A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL AFTER WE PARK THE ACFT. MR A CALLED THE PHONE NUMBER AND TALKED TO MR F AT DFW TRACON. MR F STATED THAT OUR ACFT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON A 250 DEG HDG; NOT A 350 DEG HDG. MR A EXPLAINED TO MR F THAT HE CONFIRMED THE HDG OF 350 DEGS TWICE TO THE CTLR. MR F TOLD MR A TO CALL BACK IN AN HR SO THEY COULD CHK THE TAPE; WHICH MR A DID. THE CONVERSATION RESULTED THAT ATC'S SIDE OF THE COM WAS CLR AND OUR COMS WERE SCRATCHY AND UNREADABLE. THERE WAS NO RPT OF SCRATCHY RADIO COM IN ANY OF THE SEGMENT OF THE TRIP. THE CREW IS 100 PERCENT SURE THAT THEY WENT TO THE CORRECT HDG.
