A B55 BARON PLT HAD 2 NMACS NEAR A FOOTBALL STADIUM.

Narrative

WE CLRED UNITED STATES CUSTOMS AND WERE CLRED TO TAXI FROM THE CUSTOMS RAMP. WHILE ON THE TXWY; I REQUESTED A CLASS B CLRNC FROM GND CTL AND WAS TOLD 'THEY DID NOT HAVE THE EQUIP TO TAKE CARE OF THE REQUEST' AND TO 'JUST CALL SOCAL APCH AFTER DEP TO THE W.' SETTING THE RNAV GIVING ME RANGE AND BEARING TO MYF WHEN AIRBORNE; WE DEPARTED AND IMMEDIATELY REQUESTED A CHANGE TO SOCAL APCH. WHEN GIVEN; I MADE MY CLASS B REQUEST INDICATING OUR DEST AS MYF. THE CTLR GAVE ME A CODE. RADAR CONTACT WAS MADE JUST AS WE INTERCEPTED THE COASTLINE. I WAS GIVEN A R TURN TO 020 DEGS AND THE ALT OF MY CHOICE; STOPPING THE CLB AT 2500 FT. ATIS INDICATED RWYS 28L&R WERE IN USE. I EXPECTED VECTORS TO A L DOWNWIND FOR LNDG. A FEW MINS AFTER HOLDING 020 DEGS; I WAS GIVEN A L TURN TO 350 DEGS. TFC WAS CALLED AT 11 O'CLOCK POS; SAME ALT; A BLIMP. THE CTLR REQUESTED ME TO SQUAWK 1200 AND FREQ CHANGE APPROVED. IN OTHER WORDS; DUMPED OUT. I BEGAN A DSCNT THROUGH 1500 FT. WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF CHANGING XPONDER CODES; MY FRIEND IN THE R SEAT INDICATED THERE WAS MORE TFC AHEAD. I LOOKED UP AND DIRECTLY AHEAD WAS A STEARMAN TOWING A BANNER WITH ANOTHER ACFT BEHIND IT ALSO WITH A BANNER. COM FREQ CHANGE ABORTED. I PULLED UP AND TURNED R TO CLR THE TFC JUST ABEAM THE STADIUM WHERE APPROX 60 SECONDS BEFORE WE HAD BEEN PURGED FROM THE SYS. I CHANGED TO MYF TWR JUST AS A C130 WAS MAKING AN ANNOUNCEMENT THEY WERE DROPPING FROGMEN INTO THE STADIUM (WE WERE JUST 2 NM SE). A QUICK CALL TO THE TWR AT 5 NM SE OF MYF AND THE CTLR CLRED US TO LAND. AS I HAD PULLED UP TO AVOID THE BANNER TOWING TFC; WE WERE BACK AT 1500 FT. I REQUESTED AN OVERFLT OF RWY 28R AND AN ENTRY TO A R DOWNWIND FOR SPACING. THE TWR CTLR THEN ASKED WHO I WAS TALKING TO IN CLASS B. I INDICATED THE FREQ; 124.35; NOTHING ELSE MENTIONED IN REGARDS TO THE ABRUPT ENTRY INTO MYF CLASS D AIRSPACE. I TRULY BELIEVE IF THE SOCAL APCH CTLR HAD STAYED WITH US FOR 2 MINS LONGER AND EXPLAINED WHAT WAS GOING ON AT THE STADIUM; AND GIVEN ME A HDG TO THE E FOR TFC AVOIDANCE; THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO PROB CIRCUMNAVING THE INTENSE TFC.
