AN LRG; ACR; 3 ENGINED ACFT HAS A FIRE INDICATION IN THE #1 ENG ON INITIAL CLBOUT. FLC DUMPED FUEL AND RETURNED FOR AN EMER LNDG WITH THE ENG SHUT DOWN. MAINT PERSONNEL RPTED A POSSIBLE TURBINE BLADE FAILURE.
AFTER TKOF; #1 ENG FIRE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND FIRE BELL SOUNDED. BELL SILENCED; EMER DECLARED AND ACFT CLEANED UP AT 1000 FT AGL. THROTTLE RETARDED TO IDLE AND LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. FIRE SYS TESTED AND WAS NORMAL. ENG INDICATIONS AT IDLE APPEARED NORMAL. EXPECTED A POSSIBLE PNEUMATIC DUCT LEAK. ENG REMAINED AT IDLE AND FUEL DUMPING COMMENCED AT 3000 FT MSL (2300 FT AGL) PER ATC PERMISSION; VECTORS OUT OF ARPT TFC AREA RECEIVED DURING DUMPING. ENG INOP FOLLOW-UP CHKLISTS ALL COMPLETED THROUGH APCH. WHEN ACFT WT WAS REDUCED TO MAX LNDG WT A VECTOR TO FINAL WAS TAKEN. ON FINAL ENG PRECAUTIONARY SHUTDOWN CHKLIST ACCOMPLISHED. LNDG AND ROLLOUT NORMAL. CRASH RESCUE INSPECTED ACFT AND CREW DETERMINED IT WAS POSSIBLE TO TAXI TO GATE ON REMAINING ENGS. NORMAL SHUTDOWN CHKLISTS ACCOMPLISHED. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION BY DFW MAINT; #1 ENG APPEARED TO HAVE SUFFERED A POSSIBLE TURBINE BLADE FAILURE. LATER FUSE PLUG ON OUTBOARD L MAIN TIRE BLEW AND A TIRE WENT FLAT. ALL EMER/ABNORMAL CHKLISTS AND PROCS WERE ACCOMPLISHED PER FARS AND COMPANY MANUALS AND POLICY.
