AN ACR MD80 SUPER 80 FLC INITIALLY ALIGNS THEIR ACFT WITH THE RWY EDGE LIGHTS INSTEAD OF THE CTRLINE LIGHTS AS THEY START THEIR TKOF ROLL. THEY REALIZE THEIR ERROR EARLY IN THE TKOF AND CORRECT. NO ACFT DAMAGE.

Narrative

I AM THE FO; IT WAS MY LEG. AT ABOUT XA25Z WE WERE TAXIING S ON TXWY C AND WERE CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 1R. NIGHT VISION WAS SIGNIFICANTLY HINDERED BY BRIGHT CONSTRUCTION LIGHTS STARING US IN THE FACE. WHEN THE CAPT LINED THE ACFT ON WHAT WE BOTH PERCEIVED TO BE THE CTRLINE OF THE RWY; IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE R EDGE LIGHTS OF THE STOPWAY. AS I FINISHED SETTING TKOF PWR AND LOOKED UP; THE CAPT AND I BOTH NOTICED SOME LIGHTS STICKING UP OUT OF THE PAVEMENT -- PERHAPS THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD LIGHTS. WE QUICKLY STEERED L TO AVOID THEM. WE BOTH THOUGHT IMPACT HAD NOT OCCURRED AND THE TKOF ROLL WAS NORMAL. WE ASKED THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT IF SHE HEARD ANYTHING ABNORMAL ON THE TKOF ROLL; AND SHE SAID SHE THOUGHT SHE MIGHT HAVE FELT A BUMP. TO BE SAFE; WE ASSUMED WE MIGHT HAVE HIT A LIGHT AND MAYBE DAMAGED A TIRE SO WE DECLARED AN EMER; AND HAD CFR TRUCKS STANDING BY IN DFW. AFTER LNDG DFW; ACFT WAS INSPECTED WITH NO DAMAGE FOUND. AFTER TAXI TO GATE AND INSPECTED AGAIN; NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 362284: DURING CRUISE; THE FLT ATTENDANT RPTED SHE FELT SOME BUMPS ON THE TKOF ROLL. WE HAD DISPATCH CONTACT LAS FOR A RWY INSPECTION. THE INSPECTION SHOWED WE HIT SOME LIGHTS THAT WE DIDN'T SEE OR THAT WE RAN OVER SOME THAT WERE ALREADY HIT AND NOT WORKING.
