Synopsis

THE ACR FLC OF A BE02 REJECTS THEIR TKOF WHEN THE R ENG FIRE LIGHT ILLUMINATES. THIS WAS CAUSED BY A FIRE LOOP FAULT NOT A FIRE. ADDITIONALLY; THERE WAS SOME CONFLICT IN THE COCKPIT CONCERNING PROPER PROCS.

Narrative

AFTER SETTING TKOF PWR IN THE BEECH 1900 D; I CHKED THE ANNUNCIATORS AND CALLED '2 GOOD ENGS.' THE R ENG T-HANDLE (FIRE WARNING) FLICKERED. I CALLED 'ABORT; ABORT; ENG FIRE ON THE R SIDE.' THE CAPT ABORTED THE TKOF. THE FIRE HANDLE LIGHT WAS STEADY DURING THE ABORT. THE MASTER WARNING FLASHER NEVER LIGHTED. THERE WAS A DISCUSSION TO STAY ON THE RWY OR NOT AND THE CAPT ELECTED TO CLR THE RWY AT AN INTXN. I ASKED WHAT TO DO 3 TIMES BEFORE THE CAPT CALLED FOR THE 'MEMORY ITEMS' CHKLIST. WE PERFORMED THE CHKLIST. THEN PERFORMED THE WRITTEN CHKLIST. THERE WAS NO VISIBLE FLAMES; BUT THE T-HANDLE STAYED LIGHTED AFTER ENG SHUTDOWN SO WE FIRED THE EXTINGUISHER. THE PAX WERE EVACED THROUGH THE MAIN CABIN DOOR JUST AS THE FIRE EQUIP WAS SHOWING UP. THE CAUSE WAS A MELTED FIRE LOOP; BUT NO FIRE. THE FIRE LOOP INOP ANNUNCIATOR NEVER LIGHTED SO THE CREW BELIEVED THERE WAS A FIRE. THERE WAS SOME CREW CONCEPT BREAKDOWN DURING THE EMER. THE CAPT HAD BEEN FLYING ALL DAY NON STANDARD; USING NON STANDARD CALLOUTS AND PROCS. HIS ACTIONS CREATED CONFLICT IN THE COCKPIT THROUGHOUT THE SHIFT. I BELIEVE THE CAPT HESITATED AND SECOND GUESSED MY ABORT CALL BECAUSE OF OUR PREVIOUS CONFLICTS OVER PROPER COMPANY PROCS.
