AN A320 RECEIVES A CHANGE IN TKOF DATA DURING TAXI AND IS UNABLE TO INCORPORATE THE CHANGES BEFORE TKOF AT PHX; AZ.

Narrative

RELEASE WAS OBTAINED FROM REMOTE DISPATCH. RELEASE FORM WAS DIFFERENT THAN USUAL FORM USED; AND CAPT HAD TO RETURN TO REMOTE DISPATCH TO RETRIEVE TOP HALF OF RELEASE FORM (UNUSUAL PROCS). 1 WK AFTER THIS LEG; CHIEF PLT CALLED CAPT TO ADVISE THE NUMBER OF PAX ON TRIM SHEET EXCEEDED PLANNED ZERO FUEL WT BY 5 LBS (VIOLATION OF COMPANY MANUAL). THIS WAS CAUSED; ACCORDING TO CHIEF PLT; BECAUSE OUR CREW CALLED IN TO OPS DURING TAXI; A PAX COUNT CHANGE ADDING 1 MORE PAX TO TRIM WHICH CAUSED THE EXCEEDANCE. BOTH CAPT AND FO DO NOT RECALL MAKING THIS CHANGE; AND WE BELIEVE THIS TO BE A CLERICAL ERROR BY THE PERSON INPUTTING THE TRIM INTO PERMANENT RECORDS FILE. WE BELIEVE ALL TRIM CHANGE CALLS TO OPS SHOULD BE RECORDED OR OTHERWISE DOCUMENTED. ALSO; ACFT SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE PARKED DURING GROSS WT AND TRIM OR PERFORMANCE CHANGE WHEN OPERATED BY A 2 MAN CREW. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 392760: I RECOMMEND THAT THE COMPANY SHOULD CHANGE ITS POLICY. PAPERWORK REVISIONS SHOULD ONLY BE MADE DURING NON CRITICAL PHASES (ACFT STOPPED) SO THAT CREW MEMBERS CAN DEVOTE THEIR FULL ATTN TO THE TASK AT HAND.
