F100 ACFT CLRED FOR TKOF BEHIND A B727 JUST LIFTING OFF ENCOUNTERED THE B727 WAKE AND WAS IN IT FOR OVER 1 MIN. LARGE YOKE DISPLACEMENT WAS REQUIRED TO COUNTER THE ROLL MOTION.
CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 26L ATL TO FLY RWY HEADING TO MM; THEN HEADING 280 DEGS. ENCOUNTERED MODERATE WAKE TURB SHORTLY AFTER LIFT-OFF. CONTINUED TO FLY RWY HEADING UNTIL ACFT WAS STABILIZED WITH WINGS LEVEL (RPTED THIS TO DEP CTL). REQUIRED UP TO 50 DEGS OF YOKE DEFLECTION AND NOSE ATTITUDE CHANGES. ONCE ACFT WAS STABILIZED; TURNED TO 280 DEGS AND ADVISED DEP CTL. DEP ACKNOWLEDGED BOTH RPTS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: CALLBACK FOR WAKE TURB INCIDENT QUESTIONNAIRE. RPTR SAW THE PRECEDING ACFT; B727; AND IT HAD JUST COMMENCED ITS TURN AT THE MM AS CLRED. RPTR ACFT WAS ALSO CLRED TO TURN THERE; BUT THE ENCOUNTER REQUIRED CONSTANT CTL FORCES TO COUNTER THE ROLL MOMENT. RPTR ESTIMATES THEY ROLLED 40 DEGS WHICH REQUIRED ABOUT 50 DEG DISPLACEMENT OF THE YOKE. THUS; THEY FLEW A LITTLE BEYOND THE TURN POINT; BUT RPTED IT TO THE CTLR. DUE TO TFC DEPARTING THE SOUTH COMPLEX ON RWY 27L AND RPTR ACFT OFF RWY 26L; THE FLC WAS CONCERNED ABOUT POTENTIAL CONFLICT WITH OTHER DEPS. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME RPTR HAD WAKE BEHIND A B727 AT ATL. RPTR ESTIMATES THEY REMAINED IN THE WAKE FOR OVER A MIN; THOUGH NOT AS SEVERE AS THE INITIAL ENCOUNTER.
