THE #1 CABIN ATTENDANT ON AN FK10 WAS INJURED DURING A MODERATE TURB ENCOUNTER DURING DSCNT WHILE DIVERTING AROUND WX CELLS. THE CAPT HAD ANNOUNCED TO THE FLT ATTENDANTS TO TAKE THEIR SEATS DUE TO POSSIBLE TURB.
20 MI E OF FWA; DSNDING THROUGH FL250 AT 250 KTS WITH THE SEAT BELT SIGN ON. WE WERE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING CONTINUOUS LIGHT CHOP AND WE WERE DEVIATING TO THE S OF A SMALL CELL WHEN WE ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TURB. I CALLED THE FLT ATTENDANTS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY TAKE THEIR SEAT FOR THEIR SAFETY. OUR #1 RESPONDED ON THE INTERPHONE AND SAID THAT THEY WERE ALREADY SEATED. I WAS GLAD TO HEAR THAT; AND I APPRECIATED THEIR INITIATIVE. A LITTLE LATER SHE CAME TO THE FRONT AND WAS CRYING AND SAID THAT SHE HAD FALLEN IN THAT BRIEF TURB ENCOUNTER AND SHE WANTED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE TRIP. I ASKED THE #2 TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE CABIN AND I TOLD #1 TO RELAX AND TAKE A SEAT FOR THE REST OF THE LEG. I ASKED HER IF SHE COULD WALK AND SHE SAID YES; BUT IT HURT. I TOLD HER THAT WE WOULD COORDINATE WITH ORD FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND A REPLACEMENT FLT ATTENDANT. THE REST OF THE FLT WENT AS BRIEFED. NO OTHER CREW MEMBERS RPTED INJURIES. NO PAX RPTED INJURIES. THE ACFT WAS NOT OVERSTRESSED. I HAD CUP OF WATER ON MY SIDE PANEL THAT DID NOT SPILL; HOWEVER; THE BRIEF ENCOUNTER WITH TURB WAS MODERATE. I ASKED ALL CAPABLE CREW MEMBERS TO FILE A RPT AS REQUIRED.
